Kristopher has served as the Education Program Manager for the Supreme Court of Ohio Judicial College
for 17 years. His department, just 11 people strong, serves the whole state of Ohio by producing more than 200 days of continuing education opportunities each year and serving over 12,000 individuals in 2019. “Most of my work is behind the scenes, which I really enjoy,” Kristopher said. I work with other court associations identifying their education needs, find Subject Matter Experts on those topics and then help organize the content and delivery. We also host faculty development seminars several times each year to help those who teach for us be better teachers.”
The Supreme Court of Ohio Judicial College has formed several prolific partnerships with other state associations. These relationships are essential in serving the state, and even outside forces are taking notice of the great work being done. In 2016, Kristopher was honored by the National Association of Court Management (NACM) with the Perkins Award, which recognizes dedicated individuals for their behind the scenes work in court management or improvement.
Prior to his current position, Kristopher worked for 10 years as an intensive probation counselor for the Delaware County Court in Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. In his spare time, Kristopher teaches karate, serves as a boy scout leader for his son’s troop, helps with the high school marching band, swim and track teams and is an elder at his church. Kristopher has been a volunteer with APPA since 2016 and has been an essential piece of making the annual training institute’s run smoothly.
Thank you for all you do! We look forward to working with you for years to come.#professionaldevelopment#probation
